Bial Industrial Farmacéutica, S.A. (Bial-Arístegui) is an Spanish private Company, which belongs to the Portuguese Bial Group.  It is focused on the manufacturing and commercialization of allergenic extracts for diagnostic and treatment (vaccines) of allergic diseases.  It has a R&D Department specialized in immunotherapy with biological products, in which several biotechnological research lines are carried out (recombinant DNA and monoclonal antibody production).  Several Ethic specialities, also for human use, are commercialized, like antimicrobial agents, anti-inflammatory agents, anti-asthmatics, anti-histaminics, glucocorticoids, etc.


Bial Industrial Farmacéutica’s installations comprise the central administrative section in Madrid and the industrial unit and Research and Development Centre in Bilbao.  Bial Spain produces all the group’s vaccines under very advanced technological conditions in its 2000 m2 plant.  It has a staff of around 180 people, with 14 of them working in R&D Department.
